ABOUT

Rhon Hooper’s imagination was forged between two distinct worlds: the sprawling, ever-changing landscape of America as seen from the passenger seat of her father's long-haul truck, and the industrial hum of Dalton, Georgia, the "Carpet Capital of the World."
As the youngest of three and the only girl, she spent her time alone, teaching herself to read and write, building worlds on the page long before she ever set foot in a school.

That private world of fiction became a vital sanctuary when, just before her eighth birthday, a crushing family tragedy struck with her father's suicide. While her interest in formal education waned, her belief in the power of stories became her lifeline. Books were a rescue from a reality she could not control, a lesson that has become the bedrock of her work.
Rhon writes from a profound understanding that a well-told story is more than an escape; it's a way to keep going.
